Our Guest: Sharelle D. Lowery

As an Alumni of California State University, Fresno, Sharelle studied Mass Communication and Journalism, she then chased after her first love Fashion at the Art Institute of San Francisco where she studied Fashion but the Fashion- Journalism bug caught her and she began writing, talking and consulting in the fashion industry in the San Francisco and Houston, Texas area.
Sharelle D. Lowery started writing Fashion and Style articles for The Oakland Globe, Krave Magazine, Alphanista and other magazines and newspapers. As her popularity grew so did her fan-base and she was requested to work as the fashion correspondent for “Off tha Hook” television and became the host of her own television show, “Uptown Style Weekly.”
Today Sharelle D. Lowery is channeling her impeccable Style, coupling it with Class and now runs a Professional and Social Etiquette and Class Academy, “The Sharelle D. Lowery Academy.” At The SDL Academy she teaches/throws “Classy-Carrie Tea Parties” for little girls 4-11 years old teaching them basic etiquette rules and how to have fun at a formal tea party, “Ginny the Debutante” classes prepping girls 12-18 on pre-college finishing and “Sharelle the Socialite” refresher courses for women over 18 to enhance their social skills and prepare them to begin their job search. Sharelle also teaches a special course where she goes INTO businesses helping them to bring the “Etiquette Experience” into the workplace.
Her first book, “Classy, BlackGirl: The Rules Volume One” is due to hit bookshelves of better bookstores 3/9/2012.
Sharelle’s main goal in life is to help people build better relationships.
